Akasha
Aloha, my name is Akasha Kuwashima, and I like drawing both digitally and in the traditional way. I have been coming to Maui Hui Malama for about 4 years, and this is my second year in the Youth Entrepreneurship Program.
I enjoy doing the pop-up shops, meeting new people, and bonding with my friends during our shifts. I also have fun coming up with design ideas for products. My favorite place to go on Maui is Kamaole Beach with my family. It’s something we like to do on the weekends.

“One day my sister and I were doodling on an iPad, and we came up with the design of Peanut Butter and Jelly holding hands. I can relate to this design in a way because my sister and I are such opposites, yet we always have each others’ backs, and we are best friends.”
